Chelating resin is a chelated styrene-based ion exchange resin designed for selective ion removal through chelation with metal ions, without undergoing an ion exchange reaction. The resin’s selectivity for metal ions is comparable to that of EDTA and is higher than that of strong or weak acid cation exchange resins. This product is suitable for removing Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺ from electrolytic brine during the refining of salt water. It is also widely used in wastewater treatment and for the recovery of valuable metals.
