Waste water treatment

Waste water treatment

Waste water treatment is a major application and one of the largest markets for ion-exchange resins, where one or more undesirable ionic contaminants are removed from water by exchange with another non-objectionable or less objectionable ionic substance. The process includes the removal of toxic compounds and heavy metals, demineralisation and desalination.

Our series of ion exchange resin products are extensively used in sewerage and industrial wastewater purification, treatment and filtration.

The applications include: Industrial water treatment, wastewater treatment and zinc, nickel and other bivalent metal ion recovery, amino acid recovery, catalysis, and electroplating containing chromium wastewater treatment.

  • Industrial water treatment system: allows you to utilise local water sources such as groundwater, water tank or seawater, to produce water suitable for industrial uses. Raw water entering an industrial plant often needs treatment to meet tight quality specifications to be of use in specific industrial processes.
  • Wastewater treatment system allows you to treat a wastewater source, such as industrial effluent or contaminated stormwater, to a level suitable for compliant discharge, or for reuse.
  • Zinc, nickel and other bivalent metal ion recovery: Ion exchange resins can be used for the extraction and recovery of precious metals, such as zinc and nickel, from the ores, plating layers, acid baths, and wastewater.
  • Amino acid recovery, catalysis.
  • electroplating containing chromium wastewater treatment: Using ion exchange resins for treating electroplating wastewater containing chromium, can achieve water recycling and chromium recovery.
